Alfalfa's, The only "Full Service" place in LEX for Good Vegitarian Food. Title says it all. If you want Vegitarian food in Lexington you have 1 choice for a full service restaurant. Alfalfa's is it. Food is good, service is a bit spotty especially during busy hours, Fri, Sat night. Sunday morning breakfast. Prices are very reasonable. Hoppin' John is great sample dish. Portions are good size. good food but consistently terrible service I've eaten at Alfalfa's several times and the service is always bad. Lunch took over an hour to be served. My sandwich was good,but not worth the hour wait. Limited hours too. Difficult to find parking.
bad service every time The food is good and it's a shame that they can't offer better service. I've been a half dozen times and I would rate the service as poor. My waiters didn't get the order right (simple off the menu) and forgot things like silverware. The wait for food can be as long as 1 hour for a basic sandwich. I keep going back thinking that it will get better, but it does not. Very sad.
