GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Alexandria Appliance Services (AAS) and Alexandria Appliance Repair are two different companies. My experience with (AAS) was good. I called the company and a technician came out the same day. He was so nice and professional at the same time. If you want good customer service, let Alexandria Appliance Services fix your appliances!!!!!!!!!!

zero stars...Miscellaneous charges. Abusive, very odd staff, DO NOT GO THERE I was charged for items that I was told were "ordered", that any reputable vacuum store would have in stock. I was charged for labor ("in advance") and told that a diagnostic was performed on my vacuum when I know that it never moved from behind the counter (positively). One guy is so hyped-up on whatever, that he is belligerent with every customer that enters the store. He was yelling at an old woman when I arrived telling her "nothing is free". Th... read more

Diagnosis Costs More than Mfg Repair. Thuggish and Aggressive Staff I have three pieces of advice: avoid, avoid, avoid. Firstly, avoid them because they are extremely expensive; secondly, because they are unreliable; thirdly, because their staff is insulting and aggressive. Like others here, I ended up paying more for the diagnosis alone than I would have for the manufacturer's repair (even if my appliance is no longer under warranty!). And I got insulted and talked down to in the process. Stay away from these thugs.

I agree: DON'T Use Alexandria Appliance Wish I had googled on Alexandria Appliance Repair before bringing my mower there. They rush me off the phone, tell me they will call back and never do. They won't tell me where my mower is and what is being done with it. Every time I ask a question, they say they will call back and then don't. I fear my $125 is gone for good. DO NOT USE THEM. Dishonest do not use this business Do not under any circumstances use this business. They are scam artists. They will first strike up a good conversation to draw you in. They tried to sneak in a "warranty" of $120 without my permission. Then when I requested that cost of the parts and the cost of the labor listed separately they refused. Then they tried to use intimidation stating they were going to charge my credit card for another hour if I didn't stop wasting their time. Overcharging I had the same experience Dave S. had. I paid more for a lawnmower repair than a new lawnmower would have cost me. Steer clear of these guys. I checked the Better Business Bureau rating on them and it is unsatisfactory, with 22 complaints in 2 years.

AVOID! Overcharges and unreliable Avoid this merchant! Sounds good on the phone but charges $150 for pick up and delivery (which he insists on doing for "good customer service"), and holds your appliance as ransom if you don't want to be ripped off. I ended up paying more to get my appliance repaired than I would have spent buying a new one.
