Horrible. After using Alexander Tree Services out of La Canada for several years we had a very bad experience with them just this week. The owner Randy gave me a $1000 higher quote than the last time we had the trees pruned. I wasn't happy but thought inflation etc. When I went out to check the trimming the trimmer told him that Randy had told him they were only trimming half the perimeter. When I spoke to the owner Randy he was extremely defensive and confrontational and demanded an additional $800 to finish the perimeter. ... read more

This is one of the strongest 5 star reviews I have ever written for any company on Google. Eric and his crew were polite, honest, hard working, courteous, aims to please, and just overall outstanding. He showed right on time to give us an estimate for our job. He and his crew again showed right on time for the day of the work. We were more than happy with all of the work that was done. Alexander Tree Service came to our home and gave us a WRITTEN quote to trim THREE oak trees on our property (with a permit). They came and trimmed ONE. The man in charge said that they were finished for the day. I paid him in full and asked when they would be coming back to trim the remaining two trees. He said that the job was completed because the tree that they trimmed was equivilent in size to three trees. The tree was large, however, it is only ONE tree and my written quote was for three trees.
