Dr. Alexanders office is very pleasant, clean and comfortable. We discussed the need to remove my gallbladder and he explained the reasons, the procedure and the recovery. The surgery went smoothly and my care was stellar! I had minimal discomfort - the hardest part was avoiding my activities while healing!Kayla is assistant, office manager, schedular extraordinaire! She was amazingly helpful!If one must have a surgery, Dr. Alexander is wonderful!
Poor. I do not trust Mr. Alexander after my experience with him. I had an obvious left-side inguinal hernia - Magdi declared I had it both sides and wanted to place a full mesh. I protested as it was clear I only had a left-side hernia. His response was if we do just one side he'd have to cut me - as opposed to laparoscopic - so it's better to do both sides and I'll be 'bulletproof.' He explained all the options of hemorrhoid surgery for my brother who has a mental disability and performed the one that was the best match for him. He took his time to explain the procedure with several relatable analogies. He is very knowledgeable, has years of experience, great bedside manner, was very patient with all the questions and the results were exactly as expected ! To top it off, his MA Kayla is top notch ! I was visiting from out of town and had to be admitted to USC Arcadia for appendicitis. Dr Alexander was assigned to my case. What was supposed to be a quick lap procedure turned out to be a bit more involved surgery and required a longer hospital stay. I was so blessed to have Dr Alexander as my surgeon. He explained everything clearly, checked in daily, and was on board with letting my body heal at its own pace. I felt well taken care of while in the hospital and at my follow up appointment. Dr. Magdi performed gallbladder surgery on my 81-year-old mother. From the first visit until the post-op appointment he and the nurse/staff (Kayla) have been amazing. They are the most friendly and accommodating doctor/staff ever. We didn't choose Dr. Alexander, the hospital did. But we are so glad we got Dr. Alexander. Special shout out to Kayla for being so sweet to my mother.
Dr. Alexander was able to diagnose my multiple conditions very quickly and advise on the required treatments. I felt I was as informed as was possible for my conditions and was not surprised by anything along the way. (I was dealing with a fissure, anal tag, and Stage 3 hemorrhoids but Dr. Alexander helped fix it all up within 5 appointments over ~2 months.)Today I feel as good as new and can't believe the results! Life changing, truly.
He quickly assessed my problem and got me on my way to get the tests I needed. Once my tests confirmed my need (gallbladder surgery) they were able to get me scheduled for surgery quickly at a facility relatively close to their office. My surgery went great and my scarring was minimal on my torso. He was friendly, well spoken and answered all my questions without talking down to me. As a side note, I was a cash patient and his front office staff (Kayla) was an absolute joy to work with. More offices need a person like her.
Dr. Alexander discussed my issue in easy to understand terms. He answered all my questions. We discussed options for my treatment. I am very happy with my outcome. His office is caring and friendly.
I was hospitalized for severe abdominal pain and although many of my tests didn’t show anything overtly concerning, Dr Magdi followed his instinct and listened to my concerns and proceeded to do surgery, finding I had an extremely infected gallbladder and liver abscess.
