I will preface this with the fact that I ultimately needed to receive care somewhere else. I am on an Advocate managed HMO and was referred here for GERD/Gastritis symptoms back in late May. I made the appointment in early June and the earliest appointment they could offer me was MID OCTOBER. In my time waiting I developed esophagitis and lost the ability to eat super efficiently. Dr. Hristov is ok, but his office staff is terrible. It took my pharmacy two attempts to contact him, a message from me, and two messages from my PCP over the period of about a month to get anyone to address my prescription issue. I was forced to fire him and go with another specialist. Out of courtesy I wanted to let his office manager know why. She returned my call exactly when I had asked NOT to be contacted. Terrible doctor. I echo the other review if I could give zero stars I would. I had a procedure scheduled and he canceled so I had to wait an entire month only for it to be rescheduled again and then cancelled the day of when I arrived at the office - three total cancellations because of “emergencies” in a one month period including a day of cancellation without notice to at least save me the trip into the office. Great doctor! Super nice, listened to all my concerns and came up with a plan of action that is working great. I highly recommend.
I had been reluctant to address my stomach issues but Dr. Hristov was very attentive to my concerns and he answered all my questions. He walked me though several options for treatment and made sure I was comfortable selecting the best path forward.
