This has been one of the most disappointing rental experiences I’ve ever had. When we moved in, the dishwasher was already broken and it took almost two months to repair. We were also told our apartment would be ready on a specific move-in date, but the leasing office completely forgot — we were notified the morning of that we couldn’t move in. Booked a reservation to tour at 11am, arrived and was told the leasing office wasn’t actually going to open until 12pm. Only explanation given was that the person I made the reservation with was “new”. I ended up cancelling the tour altogether since that’s definitely giving red flags and incompetence from the start.

I’m giving Alexan a 1 star review. When we first moved in, it wasn't terrible, but could tell it was going downhill due to the lack of communication when applying. I ended up being here 1 1/2 years and deeply regret resigning the lease. Some things that I did not like during our lease is as follows : 1) Roaches Over the summer months, we’ve been dealing with a severe roach infestation on the amenity level that management refuses to properly address. Editing this 3 months later now: We have lived at Alexan on 8th for over a year. Echoing the other recent reviews, the management and overall quality of this property has taken a nosedive in the last year. There is nearly no communication from the management on any issue aside from clearly pre-scheduled generic email blasts occasionally. Over the 4th of July holiday weekend, we received an email that the pool was closed, with no details and no indication of when it would be resolved. I've lived at Alexan on 8th for five months now, and I really like it here! The location is ideal - Publix is a 2min walk away, and most office buildings in midtown are less than 5 minutes away by car. The staff here are amazing, and will always address your concerns as quickly as possible. Although it's on the pricier side, the location, amenities and the emphasis on proper maintenance makes it worth every penny!
