I went for my first time today. My husband and I live in Taylorsville so we switched doctors from Harbin in Rome. I just felt like they never actually took the time there. I've always like WellStar and I love Dr. Billingslea. She was so nice and has very good bedside manner. I definitely look forward to her being my doctor. My husband is going next week and I told him I'm so thankful that I found a doctor who is caring and friendly because that truly matters. It's your health/life so take it important. I love my check ups with Dr. Billingslea. She is extremely thorough explaining my health. Everything she talks about is printed out and handed to me before I leave the office. She takes her time and makes sure she understands my concerns by asking a lot of questions. I never feel rushed and always leave confident I have a wonderful doctor.
My 78 year old father told her a week and a half ago that he was having severe leg pain. She assumed it was a gout flare without seeing him. By Friday, the pain was worse and she sent him for x-rays and blood work. He was using a walker by this point. By Monday, she thought he should come in and said bad muscle sprain. He was bent over and not able to walk without assistance. She just prescribed pain pills and muscle relaxers. By Wednesday, he couldn't move and finally agreed to go to the ER.
