First, the alert necklace did work when tested so problem is not with function. However, we moved my mother into an assisted living facility recently that had their own alert necklace. Then I noticed a $400 charge to my credit card 2 months before I believed the subscription would expire (thought I had time to cancel) only to find out that they do a 10 month subscription (not 12 months as I thought). If I could give a negative, I would. Buyer beware!! This company is not to be trusted. I ordered Alert 1 for my mom when she was 89 yrs old (2025). I charged it to my credit card. My mom decided after a year that she wanted to return the equipment. I notified the company and they gave me the instructions on how to return items. They said that when they received the equipment that there would be a restocking fee. I was fine with that. However, on March 31 they charge my credit card $335 for equipment for the year 2026. I never requested information from you but somehow you got my phone. You are now calling me at least every other day and sometimes every day. I keep blocking your numbers and you just call back from a different number but it always comes up on my caller ID as Alert 1. I am tired of it. Do not call me again from any number. I do not need or want your services. This has now be home harassment and if it continues I will report it to the authorities.
The system itself worked great. However, after my mother passed away, I asked for a refund of unused time since we had paid for a year. They don’t do that anymore. It’s a case of penny wise and pound foolish. It’s pretty greedy. On a positive note, Fran, who answers the phone with customer service, is absolutely wonderful.
