I would highly recommend the Lulzbot Taz 6 to any educator looking to integrate STEM into the classroom. This printer is a workhorse. Its robust and reliable (for example the Taz uses 12mm diameter smooth rods instead of the industry standard 8mm). every component choice is top notch in terms of quality. Support is also top notch. I had a minor issue and Lulzbot support was quick to respond and supportive in my efforts to resolve the issue.
Bought a new Taz6, it works great out of the box with minimal setup! Called tech support for a quick explanation of the firmware update and received awesome customer service!
I have many mixed feelings about this company. Their product, I enjoy it. Their tour experience (at least awhile back) was fun and informative. In a general view, seems good to me. My main issue is behind the scenes. I knew/know many people who work there, mostly in the customer service area.
