I’ve just supported a friend through surgery performed by Dr. Castellvi. I do not know if the doctor took a disliking to my friend; however, while Castellvi may be an excellent surgeon, he displayed no kindness or personal warmth. For that reason, I would never choose or recommend him.
I see mixed reviews for Dr. Castellvi. In clinic he was very straight forward and to the point. He gave you options on what he recommends. He told me I'd need spinal fusion and other stuff and I said go ahead. After surgery he came in and checked on me and he had the best bedside manner, and genuinely cared about me and how I was feeling. I highly recommend him!
I finally had a TLIF spinal fusion four months ago after a couple of years of increasing back pain that was controlling my life and making me miserable. My surgery was a complete success thanks to Dr. Castellvi and his team, and I am happy and blessed to say that my back pain is completely gone! I just wish I could have had it done sooner.
Talks a good story until after the surgery. Then it's indifference. Blaming everything on age..."You're not 20". Pain and stiff, not walking well 2 years later. Wondering why the hospital required an observation team for surgery.
Dr Castellvi did a fantastic job with my spinal fusion. I had a 9 1/2 hour surgery and have had some soreness and tender bruised feeling but nothing that I would call pain. So thankful and looking forward to a more active life.
