I have been trying to register my account online since November to pay my bills. None of the online registration systems work, the eTransfer Interac Bill payment system doesn't work. Their error messages are incomprehensible. I'm getting late fees for bills that are overdue that I am ready and willing to pay but can't because I can't create an account! The only think that they get 2 stars for is the very kind customer support people who have been trying to help me troubleshoot through Alectra's broken IT system
Horrible service. 4 months into living in guelph. Was an absolute pain to get set up, next to impossible to call and get a real human to talk to. Always trying to make me switch to online payments instead of getting a bill in the mail. Canada post strike has made it impossible to pay my bill. I have lived in a few cities now but this one takes the cake for worst experience by far.
We moved out of our home in Guelph however Aelectra continued to bill us past our closing date for electricity that we did not use, as we did not own the property at that time. Having talked with others and searched online it seems that this is a common occurance and whether the charges get waived or not comes down to whether or not Vanessa the call centre manager likes you and feels like doing it.
