I went to Aldor with a gold ring that needed resizing from a size 7.5 to a 9.5. They did a great job with it! You can't tell where the extra gold was added to make it larger. The only thing they could have improved was communication. They told me they would call me in about 2 weeks when it was ready but never did, so I had to call them to check on it. But to their credit it was ready at that time and pickup was easy. I will definitely be back for future work. Glad to have them in the neighborhood!
I've been carrying my broken necklace around while traveling for months, unable to find a repair shop that could fix it at a reasonable price. An hour and half before I left the city, I spotted Aldor's and walked in thinking they would overcharge me or give me a long repair window. They took one look at my chain and said "come back in one hour". I was charged $31 for what everyone else told me would be a $100+ job. My favorite necklace was beautifully fixed and the customer service kicked ass. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Aldor helped me replace the batteries in all my watches that I found during my move. He gave me a great rate for all 9 of them. I will definitely be returning for additional goodies. I’m so grateful with all the amazing family owned jewelry spots closing in Astoria.
