From the scheduler to the front desk staff to the optician and optometrist- Alderwood Optical is a first-rate operation. I was treated so kindly with an attention to detail that held my insurance accountable for more than I initially thought! Incredible service and a knowledgeable medical staff all in a convenient location. I am so glad not to have to drive to first hill to receive top notch service anymore- Alderwood Optical has them beat.
Overall, my first appointment was very good. The one item that I would comment on is how charges are handled ... notably they are not revealed at the time of making an appointment. Doing this upon a new patient's arrival is unsettling and underhanded. Transparency from the beginning aligns with the content on your website vs. staff and patient having a less-than-pleasant dialogue in an open office with other patients. It feels disrespectful and awkward ... which immediately erases the content on the website.
This was the first time that I went for an eye exam where they didn’t dilate my pupils prior to the exam. Don’t know if they just forgot ?????
