great experience, friendly and nice atmosphere
Imagine being told you were an entire YEAR early for your appointment. This isn't a joke or a hypothetical, this is the actual experience I had at Alcona Dental. When I called in late 2025, I asked if they were taking new patients, that I hoped to be seen soon. The woman on the phone said they were. "I don't have any appointments in January, but I can get you in February?" Not that long of a wait, so I said "That'll work fine." First of all, Corey is amazing. People overuse that word, but she honestly is. I tried getting a walk in appointment here four or five times and she answered the phone each time with humor and positive energy every morning at 7am sharp. Word to the wise, be patient, there are a lot of people trying to get in everywhere. Kindness goes a long way. I tried a dozen places and NO ONE is taking new patients in the immediate area. The people are nice and the fillings i got there were good, just wish my dentist didn't tell me to call back here when I needed to get my wisdom tooth removed only to find out they can't do it here. would probably be helpful telling people that instead of wasting half a month of time I could have spent looking somewhere else now I have to wait even longer. When I did call them they said "they could send a referral" I had said "Ok" and then didnt say anything for a minute straight.
Broke a tooth a while back, recently got over an absess. Really need to get this looked at and taken care of. Was told this place takes call ins, if they can, Monday and Thursday. Called today and they don't have any openings because, for some reason, they scheduled training from 11-1 on one of the two days a week they take call ins.
