I stayed sober as long as those doors stayed open. I relapsed when the pandemic closed them. I followed the directions given to me from guys who were sober, and my sponsor. There's an important reason why "guys who were sober" are before "my sponsor", that's because they ALL suggested I get a sponsor. My sponsor said "any lengths".
