Alchemy Painting painted the clapboards, trim, and doors of our home built in the early 1800s. The clapboards needed a lot of attention with old paint cracking. Alchemy Painting did an excellent job for us at a very fair price. They turrned up on time, kept us posted, and gave us good advice. Alchemy Painting also painted our 40 year old standing seam roof which had rusted areas and definitely needed attention. Conscientious, prompt, well priced, and excellent work!
We had Joel come out to provide an estimate for painting our home. He responded quickly to that request coming over at the end of a very long work day for him. He presented as a a very capable and competent professional. He provided recommendations for colors, paint type etc and provided a full explanation of what he would be doing for surface prep and clapboard repair. Joel just finished a big interior job at our home and executed it flawlessly! We had a bad experience with another painter and he was able to save the day to fix it all. He was thorough in his estimate with every detail for labor and material costs, his price was fair, and he showed up on time to get the job done. Joel seemed knowledgeable. He was close by , and available. This should have been my first warning as all other painting contractors I contacted were busy. Even before the start I could tell he was in over his head with this big job . He decided to sub the work to another without my knowledge or consent giving me no time to interview or ck references of the painters he hired .
