Working with Albion Contracting was an outstanding experience. Our brave, beloved First Period house in Newburyport dates from 1697 but apart from emergencies, we have not been able to undertake any painting or outside repairs for over fifteen years. Our porch was also sliding into oblivion. When at last we could, we chose Albion because of the beautiful restoration we saw they had done on other historic homes around the city. This was the 2nd time we’ve used Albion - the first was on our house, and now on the fit out for The Proper Shoppe. Greg, Travis, Bernardo and Tom did a fantastic job from demo all the way to the final touches! Their attention to detail, desire for perfection, and commitment to exceeding our goals and expectations was exactly what we wanted. We honestly can’t recommend them enough and I’m sure this won’t be the last time we use them. Thank you guys for everything you do!
Albion did an excellent job painting our house in 2024. It is an old wooden house that had been painted during rehab in 2021, but had not been prepared very well. As a result we had premature peeling of paint on the old sections of our house. It was distressing to find that out and we felt we needed to pay for the best possible work we could get. Greg was referred to me by a friend to look at painting the 1800s siding on my historical house. His knowledge and attention to detail was what separated him from the other contractors I had met with. His crew respected my property and treated it like it was their own home. They also stumbled across some old foundation problems, Greg was able to bring in his Master Mason from Ireland that he uses for his masonry projects and he did an absolutely phenomenal job, his skills and knowledge were incredible. We have used Albion Contracting Services for two large projects on our 1680 historic home. The first time was an extensive painting project. The exterior had been somewhat neglected. The hundreds-year old shiplap boards required quite a bit of TLC while scraping and painting, and Greg and his team patiently worked to restore this house to beauty.
