I went into Albertsons yesterday and was so disappointed to see Sherri back on the registers. I was told she retired. She ALWAYS makes rude comments to me to try to embarrass me when I'm in her line. I avoided her line yesterday and she scowled me as I was leaving. Sherri has to be the worst employee of any grocery store I have ever been to. Prices for certain items are up to 30-60% higher than at competing supermarkets in the area. They keep shortening their operating hours. Only 2 years ago they were open until midnight, now they close at 10:00pm 7 days a week, and sometimes earlier when they have a construction project going. The self-checkout lanes were removed 2 years ago, which, of course, means that if you're shopping during non-peak hours, there is one checkout lane open, and, invariably, a queue that is 6 people deep. Just want to say to you, Albertsons - you have a very funny and hard-working employee there! (I'm sure the rest are great, but this employee stands out!) Ethan is a very diligent (I've seen him JOGGING to get his job done), friendly and approachable guy, He's always very helpful and also funny and welcoming. Keep this kid around and maybe even give him a raise!
The store is great as far as selection, bakery and deli. But! I get very frustrated with how few people are working the registers and bagging. I was in there at 6:15 dinner hour. This is not just me this happens very frequently. There are only two registers open I have two items to purchase and both lines were backed up. You don't offer a self check out lane, but I never see the 15 item or less weigh open, which it was not today. And many people had a lot in their carts.
