All the staff were extremely supportive, calm and comforting. I am beyond happy with the level of care that was provided for my little one. Thank you
Awful place . Unit 1 is dirty very unsanitary . The nurses are super ignorant and rude . Very childish like your back in high school. They treat families horribly and gossip. Families are going through hard times with there sick kids and they the way they act is disgraceful. Should not be working in this situation if you act like this. Rough with kids also. I know public health care has been through some tough times as of late, but the workers at the Children’s Hospital are amazing, resilient, kind and a large part of the fabric holding the system together.
The quality of care at the children’s hospital has been diminishing the last few years. Total disinterest of the staff, wait times are not close to correct and the general care seems as though they are pushing for it to be private. We had vitals taken then not one RN, UC or other professional came to check on us after that! I honestly think we were forgotten about and we ended up walking out to go somewhere else after I stood watching them for over an hour chatting amongst themselves and not checking any of the rooms. Our experience has not been good at all. We are new parents and we have a month old baby that was showing some marks on his body that we couldn’t quite pinpoint. Immediately we were told that Child Protective Services was going to have to screen us. We were just scared/nervous new parents wanting to get our new baby checked. Then we were told that process would take around 3 days. We waited in triage for 8 hours before we were moved to a terrible room with a no bed and no windows.
