Honestly, I'm so upset I don't even know where to start. It was unbelievably dirty the bed they put my 4 year old on still had dried blood on it that I cleaned off. we came in for a small cut that needed stitches and we stayed for 5 HOURS. To this they teased her with the idea of eating (we had no money or food and i had told them this and they kept saying itll just be a tiny bit longer ) and eventually my kid clenched their stomach after not eating for 5 hours and the nurse made a comment like "oh does your tummy hurt now?"... read more
Our family recently had to bring our son, to Alberta Children’s Hospital, and we are so thankful for the level of care we received. From admission to discharge, the team showed professionalism, compassion, and transparency. The doctors explained every diagnosis and treatment option clearly, which gave us peace of mind. The nurses did more than provide medical care they took time to make conversation with our son, which made him feel more comfortable and less afraid during a difficult experience. I dont even wwnt to give it a 1 star. Wait times r ridiculous they need to hire more doctors. Its worse then going to a walk in clinic.
My son has been here 3 times for recurring seizures lasting more than 5 minutes. Each time we have come here we have waited more than 7 hours to see a doctor. My son has had 32 seizure episodes since 11:30am when we got here today (its now 4:15p). Not once has anyone even checked on us. The nurses station is right outside the door. Ive asked for help several times, without receiving any. I will be contacting patient care tomorrow when we get home. At this rate we will be here all night
