I was very happy with Dr. Batool. I would not have continued going there if not for Dr. Batool. But the Gastroenterology Department is run like a free clinic in a third world country. Every time I saw a different nurse, resident, or random doctor who did not have time to even glance at my medical history and had absolutely no idea why I was there so started from scratch each time.
I never see Dr. Batool, usually you see the Attending or Nurse Practitioner. This office didn't allow me to get lab results for my loved one, even though my name is all over the medical records as point of contact and emergency contact for the past 5 years. How many hippaa forms do i need to sign before they talk to me? Even when I said I was a caregiver they act like they were giving the nuclear security code or something.
The doctor is just fine. Absolutely amazing. The office staff is a completely other story. I was told by THIS doctor to follow-up with JUST her in 2 months. The staff refused to schedule me with her. And after a 30 min hold, to get see this doctor and when they did schedule me, it was 4 months out, when I was suppose to have a 2 month follow-up. This was with some RANDOM doctor. I attempted to schedule my daughter as a new patient with Dr. Batool because this doctor appeared to have the perfect experience to help my daughter with her symptoms. I spent nearly 30 minutes on the phone being transferred to 5 different people, the last of which was rude to me and put me on hold AGAIN. I give up. I recommend seeking treatment elsewhere if you are the type of person who actually expects to speak with your doctor's office.
