Had several appointments with this guy over the years. You would think Albany med would have a decent one. If they do, it is definitely not this rude, uncaring and self- contradictory individual. At one time I asked to transfer to another Dr in the group but was denied. So he got even ruder until I finally gave up. Again, I think they’re keeping him because there’s not much else to choose from in this area. There are a few out there though, so just make sure you steer clear of this guy.
SO worth the wait! Dr. Argoff literally changed my son's life. He had been suffering from severe Migraines and Trigeminal Neuralgia for years that was so debilitating he couldn't function. The pain also masked other major medical issues that were not able to be identified and treated. As other reviewers have commented, YES, it was a long wait to get an appointment. I met and was treated by Dr. Argoff when he was on Long Island I wasn't going to go because I felt he was going to tell me what all the other Dr. had said try physical therapy and if that doesn’t work we can do a revision surgery on your lumbar spine or just live with the pain. Made a appointment with him he reviewed my record's saw I had 9 laminectomies and fusion's and said well I'll never get you completely out of pain but I will be able to get you function again. Just read all the scathing reviews, which confirms my first impressions. My doctor had sent him a referral, which he declined requiring a conversation with her first. Hello? Have I been seeing a neurologist for 40 yrs due to chronic migraines? Moving to Albany I mistakenly thought I would get better care than NYC area. But this was not even bothering to contact the patient to inform me he was denying treatment. Glad I was spared the office wait and unprofessional treatment that others suffered.
Been going to him for years. He was the forst doctor to agree i was having migraine and his first treatment worked better then its avratised.
