My boyfriend has been in and out of the hospital since April for vascular surgery and follow up complications causing more surgery. The staff from doctors, nurses, personal care assistants have been doing a fantastic job with a patient who has been difficult at times with pain management.Cudos to all
Albany Med has always had a meh reputation. My Mom recently had to be admitted to the Emergency Room and went on to have emergency surgery. The nurses and aides doctors and “students” were first class all the way! Caring, understanding, and sympathetic. I’ve never been asked so many times can I get you anything can I help. Way to go Albany Med and thank you for all you do!!
The most terrible service possible. I needed an answer to one simple question, and I had to make 9 calls, each lasting up to 10 minutes. I was transferred at least 5 times on each call, and in the end, it was either waiting forever only to get hung up on, or being told they would call me back—which never happened. I started calling at 2 PM and didn't get a answer until 6 PM. It’s a shame that the capital of NY has one of the worst-rated medical centers. Avoid this place at all costs. Horrible Experience – Avoid This Place This office is a disgrace. My husband came in with extreme fatigue and pain, and they refused to run even basic lab work. We only saw interns—never the real doctor—and were told they “don’t believe in bloodwork.” When tests were finally done, the results came back abnormal and days later no one has followed up.
