We have received salmon smoked by you now for several years. It's a fact that the raw material is excellent: line caught wild Alaskan salmon! The smoking process, however leaves much to be desired. I've never seen sugar added to smoked salmon and the quantity Alaska Sausage & Seafood uses ruins these fantastic salmon. Honestly, never had smoked salmon which was so poorly smoked. I have lived in AZ now for almost 4 years after living my whole adult life in Anchorage. Nowhere here have I found sausage that can hold a candle. Even the German restaurants pale in comparison.
I was more than a bit disappointed in my first and possibly last visit here. I bought some Knockwurst that tasted like they'd been dipped in and cooked with vinegar - just horrible tasting, I fed two of the four links to my dogs. Then the Polish sausage we bought was not like any polish sausage I've ever had (And I'm Polish and love the stuff!) and so greasy that I needed to wipe the grease off. On a better note, the Head Cheese was wonderful. It was a waste of $30, honestly. :(
Have loved the Weiss Wurst for years! Had AS&S German potato sausage today... Delicious!!!
