Kinkaid, a volunteer guide, approached me and gave me a tour of the place. I got to know all the stories about the birds: how they got there, their personalities and what makes them unique. By the end, I was completely in love with the place. And this despite being privately terrified of these former dinosaurs! So wonderful and worth every moment. I’m happy to support this organization and will continue to support as best I can back home in DC.
We enjoyed seeing the Bald Eagles up close in their recovery flight center and especially enjoyed the Owls! The walk through the park was great and really enjoy seeing all the salmon

Well maybe dinosaurs have more in common with a birds than they do with present day reptiles.... pubic bone... turned backwards, just like a bird... vertebrae filled with air sacs and hollows, just like a bird... even the word raptor means “bird of prey.”
