Stellar Gym, I’ll break down why. Equipment: I’ve never been to a gym with such luxury feeling equipment. I’ve been to many family owned and corporate owned gyms in Anchorage and this ones equipment is just bar none. For example, the abductor machine: when you push out with your legs, the back seat also moves backwards to keep your glutes fully engaged without added pressure to the knees. Disappointing Experience for Traveling Bodybuilder – Not Visitor-Friendly I’m a bodybuilder visiting from California and was looking forward to training here after seeing photos online. I travel regularly for work to include AK. This gym doesn't want you to even look in their direction if you don't live there full time and want to do a full year membership. Go anywhere else.
Can't speak for everyone obviously and of course individual experiences vary but the couple of times that my wife and I have gone here have been pretty good. We do have experience with quite a few different gyms in different states and everything was top notch only issue we had was for some reason when we went to buy a day pass the person working the counter only charged us for one when there were very clearly 2 of us standing there wanting to workout and then a while later the manager comes up and tells us we have to pay if... read more
this was hands down the worst customer relations experience I've ever had at a gym. I've worked out in gyms in six different states. I was very impressed with their equipment and the person who worked the counter who had the unfortunate task of telling me the two times I went there during my work hours that the manager was out at that time and then when I went there on a Friday during the hours she was supposed to be there. they only work till 4:30 that day so they left early.
