My grandfather has been living in the alaris health center for a few years now. The other patients are very polite and caring. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they have helped my grandfather tremendously. However, I do have a couple concerns. On multiple occasions, when we have entered the lobby, the person behind the desk at the sign in has been asleep. Out cold. Another issue I have come across is the elevators. My mother stayed at Alaris at Hamilton Park Nursing Home in Jersey City for two weeks for physical therapy. She could not stand or walk on her own. When she left Hamilton Park it was by RWJBH JCMC ambulance to the ER. She had developed several infections that became sepsis and had to be entibated in the ER. She is still fighting to breath on her own, and still cannot stand or walk. The staff were not aggressive in changing her diapers once she was sitting for quiet sometime with out being changed. Very devoted and personable staff. Diligent in the fulfillment of their responsibilities and the patients' needs.
