Dr. Sheyman and his team were outstanding. From the very first call, the front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and were able to get my father in to be seen within 24 hours, which was incredibly reassuring. Dr. Sheyman was exceptional—thorough, attentive, and genuinely caring. He took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made us feel completely comfortable and confident in the care provided. Truly a top-tier experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Sheyman and his entire team.
The front desk staff are extremely unprofessional. I had to cancel my appointment 2x (2 weeks in a row). When I called to cancel, the lady I spoke to stated "may I ask why you are canceling, you have canceled before". I stated that I don't have a babysitter and I can't bring them with me. She responded by saying, "well what's going to change for the next time". Parents beware, this office is not flexible or respectful, even when you cancel ahead of time.
I was referred by my optometrist to see a retina specialist due to complications related to my diabetes. The front desk was incredibly helpful—they verified my insurance in advance and went above and beyond to get me in quickly. Dr. Sheyman was thorough, knowledgeable, and excellent. One of the best retina specialists in NYC. Highly recommend.
