I had a VERY complex case of cataracts in both eyes. Did my right eye first - I was virtually blind in that eye an he totally corrected it, a miracle worker! Last week he did my left eye and he dealt with a surgery complication beautifully and had a great contingency plan. He has a group of specialists he calls upon to ensure a positive outcome. Don't let his directness and abruptness put you off, he is an EXCELLENT doctor! I highly recommend!!!
He is so haughty and so incredibly rude. There is no reason for him to be such an awful person to me. I only went there for an eye exam. A terrible experience. Also, he seems very greedy. He tried to push a pair of sunglasses onto me for $300+ for no sound reason except his profit. Certainly not for me or my sight. Incompetent office because he’s so mean that he can’t keep staff so the turnover is one decent but incompetent person after another. Stay far away from this guy. Anyone is so much better than him.
I would like to single out Ashley employed at Dr. Margolis Ophalmology. Ashleigh is a cheerful and a very efficient receptionist! I had some difficulty in requesting and getting my records sent to another Physicians office. Ashleigh came to the rescue. This young lady handled the request and did the troubleshooting to get the job done professionally.

I would not recommend seeing Dr. Margolis. He seems knowledgable about eye conditions, but he is clueless about patient rapport. During my first visit with him, he hardly looked at me or spoke to me. He talked about my eye conditions to his colleague who was observing him, but did not speak to me for the first part of the appointment. He told me to treat my acute eye condition and to come back for a second visit and that we'd talk more about the procedures he wanted me to get.
