I am in my fifties and I have honesty NEVER experienced anything like the horrible treatment that I received at Cosmedics by Dr. Margolis. My initial experience was arriving to an empty desk and hearing a woman yelling at another woman in the back for not being at her post. Two somber, grumpy women then emerged. One had a small modicum of friendliness. The real treat though was my meeting with Dr. Margolis. Now I am familiar with doctors on the autism spectrum who just lack social skills. My experience echoes that of others here. Dr. Margolis seems quite knowledgeable on all things eyes related, but his patient demeanor is very poor. The way he talks to them, and the way he talks to his staff are flat out rude. Plus, he always slips some product into my checkout that adds another $60+ or so. He's done this every time during my four visits. I had a VERY complex case of cataracts in both eyes. Did my right eye first - I was virtually blind in that eye an he totally corrected it, a miracle worker! Last week he did my left eye and he dealt with a surgery complication beautifully and had a great contingency plan. He has a group of specialists he calls upon to ensure a positive outcome. Don't let his directness and abruptness put you off, he is an EXCELLENT doctor! I highly recommend!!!
