I am so disappointed with Alan's Plumbing. They have been a part of your neighborhood for a long time and relied on by many. In 2019 I had a toilet backup that ended up being a large clog in the plumbing system of the home. It was a Saturday and when I called, the plumber came to the house in a short period of time. The plumber had to remove the toilet, bring in a machine to pump through the piping of the home to release the clog. He spent maybe about an 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour from start to finish. January 4, 2018: I was trying to replace a water filter to my ice maker yesterday, when I stupidly loosened the wrong part and water started jetting into my face and all over the cabinet and onto the kitchen floor flooding the area with 1-2 inches of water in a short time. I did stay with the project and found the shut-off valve and mopped out lots of water. I can't really complain about how he fixed a stopped up sink, but I can complain about how he took advantage of my wife to charge $165 for the service, which took less than 45 minutes. As it turned out, it had been blocked by fungus build up resulting from the slow drip of the AC drain and limited use. He poured some bleach down the sink, ran a snake down the drain and presented an invoice that says $165 for parts and labor. Parts?
