After I was diagnosed in New Jersey with a macular hole I decided to first get my cataract surgery performed by Dr. Aker due their reputation from my long-time relationship with his brother John. But, even with my high expectations, my experience was surpassed by the extreme professionalism and efficiency of the entire staff. Having only one functioning eye I was quite apprehensive to have cataract surgery.. The friendly, well trained staff explained every step of the operation as if they were talking to a good friend or relative. My fears were assuaged and my operation was a total success! I highly recommend the Aker Kasten jEye Center - they are the best!
After visiting a few vision centers I finally chose Aker Kasten Eye Center for their humane and technical approach on dealing with my vision problem (unlike just a commercial /marketing approach on the other centers I visited previously). I have never been so happy to have gone here for my cataracts and glaucoma. I have nothing but high praise from the van drivers all the way up to Dr.Aker!! You may walk in and chairs could be all filled up but the wait time is very short. I am very pleased with the work he has done on my eyes! I just cannot say enough of how wonderful this place is!! I was very disappointed on my last visit with Aker Kasten Center. My job requires me to be out of the country and in the past, I never had a problem obtaining a particular eye drop to use only once in a rare occurrence from my eye physician. I was not asking for a narcotic. The office manager told me to seek another physician. Thumbs Down
