I've never seen the place open. However there is a group of people who come and feed under the bridge on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

Just your run of the mill pool here, or is it? Alamo doesn't try too hard to be "fancy" or even "comfortable" nor does it have to! Sure it gets cold in the Winter, smells of chlorine, and practically doubles as a homeless shelter. Deal with it! That just builds character. If you can always manage to finesse that millimeter-wide setting on the shower somewhere between "technically not freezing" and pure steam then you might be able to use the showers at Alamo pool!
