Alamo rental is trash . They won't answer your phone calls when you need to speak to them at the location, so I was unable to cancel my rental, the day of pick up, unlike any other car rental places that are better.. Alamo won't take debit card during pick up . They refused to refund my money back. I lost $550+... I will posting this on all social media and more .. Why have a phone number added to the reservation if you're never going to answer it?
1. They didn't have my car when I showed up. Forgivable because they got me another car within a reasonable time. 2. Not forgivable. I put the measly $3 of gas I used back into the tank prior to turning in my car. They still charged me $37 for refill. I even disputed the charge, and they say they provided "documentation" that I owed the money. How can I even fight back? Back to Budget, who drops you off at the front door. Edit: I emailed the original reservation to this email as suggested.
Didn’t clarify at all that we needed a credit card to hold it so we waited a whole week thinking we have a reservation and getting the car just to find out last min at the stand THEN they tell us made us hours behind on our schedule to leave out of town and was very inconvenient on not getting clear information
