Great people, happy dog! – I can't say enough good things about Alamo Heights Kennel Club. We were new to San Antonio from Colorado. In Colorado, everywhere is pet friendly and the dog parks are clean and functional. San Antonio doesn't really allow dogs anywhere, and there are many more uncared-for pets. New to the area, AHKC made us feel so much better! My dog Willie has always loved his time at AHKC. He's a really big golden retriever, and has terrible leash manners for anyone but my husband or me, but they always seem patient with his pulling on the leash and jumping around like a big, fuzzy wrecking ball.

This place is a total rip-off We have sent our pet and boarded him since 08/2002 to Present. Additionally we have referred numerous individuals to this place of business specifically (AHKC). I recently went in to drop off our dog for a bath and shaving. I was told that I was early and I was going to be charged an extra boarding fee. I explained to Erica that my spouse just had our child and is unable to drive. I would be at work and available mid-afternoon for the pick-up. I left with out any concession on their behalf. our dogs, gus and colonel, just love alamo heights kennel club. the staff there is professional, kind, and they really care about their animal guests. we have been boarding our dogs there for several years now. when we are on the way down sunset, where ahkc is located, our dogs get extremely excited. they cannot wait to get there.

I went in to take my dog for a grooming. The women was on the phone talking with another customer. No problem. Then another women came in with her two dogs. When all the dogs came in, the dogs in the kennels started barking and making noise. The women on the phone yelled, "Be Quiet", to the dogs barking. She got off the phone, asked me what I was here for and told her I was here for my dog to be groomed. Decent Grooming at a good price, Poor Service, Don't Return Calls Left on Machine, Mediocre Facilities – I have taken my dog to Alamo Heights Kennel Club about 6-7 times. It was good at first and the grooming was well-done. The staff has never been friendly or even had a smile on their faces. Grooming has gotten progressively worse, as has the staff. I have taken my dog to Alamo Heights Kennel Club about 6-7 times. It was good at first. They always do a good job grooming, however, the staff has never, ever been friendly or even had a smile on their faces. Half of the times I have called to make an appointment I have had to leave a message on the answering machine.
