RecommendedI want to send a huge shout-out to Alamo Family Practice, my PCP. The are taking great measures to stay available to see patients by all means available, phone, tele health and even limited in person. This practice has remained creative to help their patients with their daily basics and screenings and beyond and to help them stay away from the ERs. Dr. Thomas, who claims to be a "FAMILY" physician won't take new patients even if that potential new patient is a family member of a existing patient. The very meaning of Family Practice is Family!!!
I've used Dr S Thomas for my primary doctor for many years. In the past, I tried to have my son seen by Dr S Thomas, and I was told they were not taking new patients. So, instead of keeping my family's medical care with one doctor, we were forced to be separated. NO REGARD FOR FAMILY! Today, my wife tried to make an appointment and was again told that she could not been seen at Alamo Family Practice. NO REGARD FOR FAMILY! I was dropped as a patient for an $11 balance that I was unaware I had. I offered to pay right away but was told no. Front desk said that Dr. Thomas signed off on dropping me. All for $11!! Sad. He had been my doctor for quite some time. So much for rapport and loyalty.
My husband and myself both see Dr. Scott Thomas as our primary care doctor. He is attentive, funny, super upbeat, and genuinely concerned with you as an individual person and your healthcare. I have a few medical issues that I wanted to get figured out and he definitely sent me in the right direction as far as referrals to appropriate specialists. It is awesome to see how much he beams when he gets to talking about his daughters. Top doc for the family!!
