In 2017, they did not separately bill 92015. In 2019, they billed my insurance the 92015 code which has been a "non-covered" code since Medicare was created in 1965 (and almost all private insurance companies follow their lead without notifying the patient of a non-covered service they will be preforming). Thank you for your comments Mr. Kight. Alamo City Eye Physicians is a medical practice comprised of Ophthalmologists and we bill exclusively under medical insurance. The refraction test is a separate charge that is not covered by most medical insurance plans and we have multiple postings about it around the office and the registration paperwork every patient fills out also has a section explaining the refraction test and associated fee. We realized today that we have been seeing Dr. Susan Berry for 11 years!!! She and her staff have always been so amazing & they take such good care of my son. He started wearing glasses a little before his 2nd birthday. Dr. Berry has always been so great at explaining his treatment plan & working with us to correct his vision. We can’t imagine going anywhere else!
All the staff were friendly and very professional.
I have been a patient of Dr. J. Berry for several years and he has performed two surgeries on my eyes with great success. He is friendly and caring. I would recommend him and his staff for all of your eye care.
