Love this place. Great food and friendly service. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Alamo Cafe.
Atmosphere seems nice and festive. Our waiter was very quiet, and not very friendly. I ordered a chicken taco salad with a full shell. In the salad, I received a pitiful helping (barely any) of beans, tomato, and cheese. I also received 2 of the end of romaine heads in the salad, which is not something you can eat. Overall the salad was disgusting and bland, and I am not usually picky at all. I addressed the waiter about my dissatisfaction with the salad, and he really didn't seem to care. Great place to take my grand dog for mid day lunch/dinner.
Friendly service and the food is good located central Old Town San Diego.
Food not to bad, small portions for the price. Service was terrible. Since when do you have to ask for Chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant? Way better places in Old Town to eat. The fact that every other restaurant was busy and this place had no one dining in it should’ve been a clue to us.

The menu is advertising plurality when they serv singles, meaning when they say enchiladas on plate they only serve one.
The food was great not expensive at all and the margaritas were made just the way I like.
Table was sticky, rolled tacos was rock hard, rice and beans were cold, service was horrible (kept having to grab forks and napkins off other tables, and flag them down for refills), they were friendly, which was good. Overpriced for the quality. Won't be back on my dime
