2 travelers from Iowa stop in for their first Cajun experience. And got a double dose of Texas hospitality along with great food. Carlie and Holly took time to explain each dish and offered a taste of a few of the local favorites. Al-T is a “must stop” as we travel through Winnie, Texas. Thanks!

Cracklins at the table when you sit down, exceptionally fresh bread, made in house, for their po’boys. Great service, good prices and really good food. Oh yeah, we’d come back.

The food was edible, just...one order the shrimp was a little over cooked ( rubbery)..one order they added everything to baked potato without asking what you preferred, one order they brought whole catfish instead of filets and did not bring the side dish... customer service was questionable.. we had to ask for drinks, ask for bread basket, ask for extra napkins, ask for a waitress to wait on us, ask for refill on drinks(they refilled 2 but never came back to refill the other two. Wish I could say waitress and cooks were jus... read more

At best the food was mediocre. Hamburger steak had no flavor and was wrapped in a piece of bacon. Gumbo was so roux heavy that’s all you tasted. The rolls were certainly not the old AL’Ts bread. Overall it was a pretty bad meal. Service was ok. We travel frequently back and forth to NOLA and loved the old Al’Ts but will not be visiting the new place again.

used to stop in about every 2-3 weeks as I Drove through. Last time waitress was so rude I said I never would go back. been roughly 18 months and the wait staff by committee was at least friendly. still have no idea who my waitperson was. think the older lady that slid plate across table? portions still lacking. shouldn't sea food get hushpuppies automatically? still no where near what it used to be before change of ownership. will stick with waffle house and station at Gannett cut off. I sure miss little joes

the frog legs was good ,all the food was good, the only down fall I have is that you order the seafood platter you have to take what's on the platter, and if you wanted to substitute a item it cost $2.50,so being that I don't eat oysters they went to waste
