(Beware) took my car to sweeney's to have an oil leak fixed 400 dollars later still had an oil leak, and then they wanted another 300 dollars to open it back up and find out why it still leaks oil after they supposedly fixed it and said to me what do you expect its an old car deal with it ...(Beware)

Great place to take your vehicle – I don't normally post to these things, but I felt necessary from the negative review. I have been taking vehicles to Sweeney's for over 15 years. They do fantastic work, and I've never had a bad experience there. All automotive shops have gotten expensive, it's necessary with the complexity of cars these days. I'm inclined to agree with WayneBear, they probably found additional problems and called to get the OK to fix them. I know with vehicles, it's much better to get things taken care of ... read more

No Problems – In response to the lady who thinks her Mom got ripped off at Sweeney's... I've had a lot of work done on my truck there over the years and they've always done excellent work. My guess is for $300 they not only did a tune up, but maybe had to replace some other parts, like spark plug wires, etc., which is common. I've never known them to do more work than what was originally quoted unless they called me first to confirm it was OK to do so. Sweeney's is terrific. You can't go wrong. – I've used Sweeneys extensively, from complete truck engine replacement to a wide variety of general maintenance and upkeep. I totally believe "tobomom," although I don't know her/him, that no one else has claimed being "ripped off." My experience with Sweeney's has been just terrific. I would not consider going anywhere else in Titusville, or Brevard County for that matter. Five stars all the way . . .

Al Sweeney's Auto Kicks Ass – My family has owned that shop since before I was born and you're the first person to say they got ripped off. So, that either makes you a liar or someone who doesn't pay attention to detail. My guess is there was more wrong with your mother's car than you grasped on to and once it was fixed you didn't feel like paying. Al Sweeney's Auto is the best shop in Titusville and they will never con anyone out of anything. 29 years doesn't lie.

My wife and I took our car to Sweeney's and were impressed by the service they provided. They have a good reputation around town and I feel they provide honest work. Not only will I continue to take my car there, but my neighbors have been taking there vehicles there for many years.

Ripped off my elderly Mom – My Mother took her car into Al Sweeny to get her spark plugs changed (a $75-$100 job) and he charged her OVER $300.00 We feel that Al Sweeney and his people took advantage of my Mother, seeing as she did not have a knowledge of auto mechanics.
