I've bought two high-end road bikes from Al; he's been very responsive to any issues and keeps me well on top of maintenance. The ambiance in the store is like of a bygone era in New York, with multiple languages being spoken, a dog underfoot, and a bird overhead. Shopping at Al's is a very gratifying and entertaining experience that I highly recommend for any cyclist who wants to think of themselves as a real New Yorker who is supportive of local businesses--he is the poster boy of anti-chain store!

Al's bike shop has EVERYTHING you need!!!! Seriously....this bike shop has something for every cyclist on every level... Great prices.... Best bike mechanics in NYC.... And a "local feel" with a great staff of actual cyclists.... Not generic salespeople. Oh, and say hi to Lance while you're there. Best of the best!!!!!!
