Al & Eds Is A Scam – I went to the west hollywood location and was treated very poorly as I came in my non-flashy daily driver. I could not get the owner Elie to focus and give me the time of day. I came back with my Ferrari and Elie and other worker were all over my nuts. They tried to charge me triple the cost of three other places I went to. I've read all their bad and horrible reviews but wanted to give them a try. I would NEVER give them my money and time of day. I warn people to stay away from this place.

HORRIBLE COMPANY, stay away at any price – I had a job done at their Lawndale branch. They were late and wired the 4 channel Class D amplifier wrong, so I ended up with blown Infinity kappa perfect tweeters. I called West Hollywood branch, I was told they would fix the error at no charge , but when I got there , I was asked for 500. I was willing to pay to get over with , but they still did not want to do it , since they said they are not comfortable with not using analog crossovers - I explained to them that the cross-overs... read more

NEGLIGENCE! Al & Ed's on Walnut in Pasadena installed an Escort radar detector in my Carrera. It was a $2,000 job. You'd think for that money I'd get great service & good work done? NO! First the installer put a big deep scratch in my bumper. Then the install was so poor that a cable dangled loose from the undercarrage & broke (they said I "hit a bump"--pleeease). It took almost a month to get the part replaced. According to Joe the owner/opperator the part he "described" to the distributor was incorrectly replaced. Then wit... read more

Fantastic Service and Quality – I have built my company on customer service. So, I'm a stickler for it. I'm almost never satisfied with the customer service that I receive from other businesses. I’m always disappointed. Back in July, I had Elie completely go over my red Tesla Roadster. I have never been MORE satisfied with the quality of the product, the service and the attentive customer service that I received. I really can’t say enough about Elie and the service I received. Everything about the whole experience was superb... read more

uncertain outcome – On the second day I owned my car I took it to Al & Ed's in West Hollywood to have a new stereo installed. They did a great job on an install in my Smart and after Eli Rothstein, the franchise owner, walked me through the shop and showed me the custom work being done on a Rolls Royce, I was comfortable with my choice. I could not have been more wrong. When I went to pick up the car the first thing I noticed was the installation looked marginally better than if it was taped in with duct tape. Gaps could be ... read more

Beware of bait and switch pricing – These guys are scam artists. I went in to purchase a bluetooth kit after seeking their website. My first choice was the Parrot CK3100, which is currently advertised on Al & Ed's website for $179. They told me the unit cost $429 plus $200 for installation. As an alternative, they suggested the Raytel Tellphone 4200 as the "best bluetooth on the market" (it is more than 2 years old), and they said it cost $450 plus $200 installation. On Al & Ed's own website, the kit is $350. (I have not bee... read more

High priced and think they are too cool. – They tried to charge me $2000 for an install that I got somewhere else for $750. They charge way too much because they are close to Beverly Hills and can get away with it. Luckily I did a little bit of research and found they are really overcharging people.
