Absolutely terrible experience. I spent almost an hour scheduling my appointments and was even asked for my weight, yet they still scheduled my MRI on a machine I didn’t fit in. I had to reschedule for the Palm Harbor location a week later. When I arrived, the front desk insisted I had the wrong date and time—until I showed them their own confirmation text and they suddenly realized they had double-booked the machine. No apology. Writing a big gratitude and thanks to Emmanuel an associate at the Akumin Plantation office on Sunrise Boulevard. She went to all ends and fought with Coral Springs Medical Center to get all of my Radio graphs for all of my mammograms from the past 12 years.

The staff was very nice. The availability for appointments was great. The location and inside was janky. It is in a strip mall. And not an upscale one. Didn't offer to change music. All of these add up to a 3 or a 2 star rating. What makes this a 1 star is: my orthopedist said this was the worst MRI scan he's seen in his entire career. So bad he couldn't make a diagnosis and is requiring me to get another one. DO NOT GO HERE. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY.

I would like to formally express my concern regarding the quality of service my wife and I recently experienced at AKUMIN facilities. In our eight years of residence in the United States, we have never previously found it necessary to file a complaint with any healthcare provider or medical-related service. On June 12 I called to make an appointment for a breast ultrasound. Juan Carlos took the information, including the type of exam I needed and didn't say a word that according to the policy of Akumin I will need a mammogram first (I am 35 years old, no history of cancer in family, no implants). I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis since 2016. I have approximately 20 lesions in my brain so annually, I am required to get MRI’s on my brain, c-spine, thoracic spine and my lumbar spine. With and without contrast for all of them. Any other office that I’ve ever been to for the scans, to include hospitals, Florida Medical Clinic, Tower Radiology, etc, have taken approximately 4 hours for all the MRI’s, spread over multiple days. never going back i needed to do ct scan of head, 4 hours fasting, 1 hour drive each direction to reach the place to be informed that the machine is down.... then receptionist yelled at me when i asked why i was not informed.....

The equipment is very old. It takes forever to go in. It’s dirty  and smelly. You need more staff. I’m going somewhere else for my bone density.

I arrived 20 minutes late for 6.45 appointment. I called but recording said they were closed. MRI machine had been turned off. MRI Guérin agreed to do the MRI. Receptionist was very kind, tech was professional. We got it done! Cannot thank these people enough, they both went out of their way to do the MRI. I left with the CD and 2 reports on their way to physicians. Kudos to this well organized company with great care
