My Ulcerative Colitis/indeterminate colitis got beyond his comfort level to treat and instead of telling me this and helping me find a new Dr he just stopped returning the calls of my Drs and I. It was like a bad breakup. A few months after I moved on and was in physical rehab in Laporte and got rushed to the hospital where he was on call. He wouldn't even look at me or speak to me just told the nurses to get me down to Indy and left the young clueless ER Dr to try and stabilize me.
We just met him today , he takes time to listen and makes you feel comfortable and confident in his knowledge , I am so glad we got to see him today
I was referred to Dr. Kommineni by close friend. If I can describe my overall experience with Dr. Kommineni that would be - Excellent! I gained so much knowledge about my condition, I know where I stand and where should I go from here.
I have to say that Dr. Kommineni exceeded all my expectations - from the moment I scheduled my exam with her to the latest follow up. She is such a warm person who is genuinely interested to help you. She listens carefully and have a real talk with you. She explained my condition in simple terms so I learned a lot about my situation. Simply amazing. Great job Maya!

Great doctor! Dr. Kommineni diagnosed me with a blocked artery after I failed a stress test and ordered an angio done immediately. Unfortunately I had to have bypass surgery. Dr. K was present the entire time, saw me in the hospital, guided my family thru the process. She called me at home to see how I was doing. Every step was explained and all my questions were answered. Dr. K was so helpful to my family as well. She takes the time to explain everything and is so nice.
Excellent Cardiologist!! Dr. Kommineni is warm, caring and listens to all of my issues. She reviews all of my medical information and explains issues in a simple, easy to understand manner. Plus she provides copies of all testing with hand-written explanations to make it easier to refer to when I go home. Her medical changes are also all written down for me. Dr. Kommineni's staff including her MA and RN are amazing! I can get into her office quickly and my questions are answered within 24h.
Dr. Trivedi does not read patient files before seeing you. He does not help you look at non-medication options when he sees that you cannot take certain medications. He talks over you the entire appointment and will contradict himself repeatedly. He will send the wrong prescriptions to be refilled, use profanity when discussing your medical conditions, and if you see him on a Friday he will blatantly tell you he doesn't feel like doing anything to help you after you waited 7 months to see him
The best GI doctor I have ever had! He really takes the time to explain things, is really nice, and honestly cares. He is willing to work for a solution to your problems that works for you.
