Ok so I was there like the biggining of 2024 (my names nicole) It wasn't that bad but I did not like Dr brown br dos was great but Dr brown always had a aditude a bad one. But either than that nice place to go your lucky if you get Thomas as your tech he was so understanding and he would never interrupt and was always free to listen. Dont waste your time bringing you child. They do not help. They dont admit kids when its clear they need to be in a unit. Not sure what's changed because they used to be amazing and actually did help. Not anymore and if you question them sending your child home and ask where else you can take them they send a cop in to say go home or go to juvenile detention center.
Most of the staff were welcoming and supportive. The psychologist there was terrible and made my stay a lot worse. For context I was there because I was being groomed by an adult man at the ages of 12-13. He made it seem as though it was my fault, like I was being disrespectful to my mother. He also was just plain disrespectful, being emotionally reactive and saying things that clearly you shouldn’t say to a 13 year old psychiatric patient. I would give it zero stars if I could. Clinicians assessment skills (had 3 different ones with our son at this point) are pathetic. They make assumptions about parents, document things incorrectly, and don’t actually converse with the children that are being assessed in any sort of helpful way. We’ve expressed our dissatisfaction with patient relations multiple times. There’s already been an incident where our son was discharged and shouldn’t have been, and he assaulted our daughter.
