Dr. Puryear corrected my son's severe scoliosis of the spine. He fused 14 vertebrae and placed 2 rods in an 8 hour procedure. Even as a nurse and being conditioned to all types of surgeons, he has surpassed all of my family's expectations. His bedside manner is one many should learn from; he sets the bar higher for his peers. Dr. Puryear made it a priority that we were comfortable with my son's surgery and all of our questions were answered.
Great experience today. Several stations to check in for covid protocol, security, registration, nurse check in, resident student, X-ray technician, and then the doctor! Everyone we interacted with was polite and efficient! It was like a well oiled machine getting from A to B. Appointment was at 3:10 and we were leaving by 4 pm (including X-rays)! Dr. Puryear is one of my boys’ favorite doctors by far. They have been seeing Dr. Puryear since they were young and always look forward to their appointments with him. He really takes the time to interact with his patients, and you can tell from your first meeting with him that he truly cares about his patients. Dr. Puryear deserves 10 stars. Truly one of the best!
