I had a consultation with Dr Ahmed today. He was friendly, and I felt the consultation went well. Unfortunately, the back office staff left me with a negative impression. The person who checked me out wasn't very friendly at all. I was irritated she didn't believe me when I told her I didn't need a work order for blood work before my follow-up visit. When I tried to book an appointment recently at highly-rated AKDHC, I was disappointed to find that my former terrific nephrologist was not available at a location nearby. But as it turned out, I got another excellent one in Dr. Joseph Zhao! After being updated on my history as well as current “scary” issues, he offered a preliminary diagnosis — which the subsequent blood & imaging tests he ordered so far seem to confirm. The people that work here are very nice. They helped me with following up on my appointments.
Very disappointed in this office. First Dr I saw never looked at my medical records and mis diagnosed me. She said I needed to lower my potassium which I did. I lost 5 pounds but my potassium was norm all along. I can't get ahold of any Dr or assistant when I call. Supposed to talk to Inga but she doesn't work in the office, she lives in another town. No one returns my calls let alone answers my questions, always lip service but no follow-up. If you have serious kidney disease do not use this office.
