I love this place. It is by far the best Sushi/Japanese cuisine in the area. Mikey is an awesome waiter. I haven't even looked at the menu in a couple years. I leave it up to him and he sets us up with an incredible meal every time! He's the greatest if you are like me and have a difficult time making a decision when it comes to menus ;-)
Terrific Sushi, Great Decor, Great Staff! – We have been dining at Akai since moving to Englewood from Manhattan 2 years ago. The food is always spot on, whether you dine in or take out. The staff is always accomodating and fun. Alexis the bartender has been there since we've been going and makes a terrific drink. Amazing Sushi with Hip Atmosphere The Akai Lounge is my favorite sushi bar in the area. The menu is bursting with interesting flavor combinations. They offer traditional rolls like Tuna or California as well as exotic creations like the Pain in the Ass roll that combines fish, tempora shrimp, and roe to create a flavor explosion.
