I had another over the top awesome experience at AJ’s. I was getting tired of the low handlebars on my road bike. I went to AJ’s a few Sundays ago and told the manager about my bike problem. I am horrible with names and only remember the owner’s. The manager new right away what the solution was and showed me an adjustable stem. The manager thought that I may need some longer cables due the the handlebars going higher, but he said that the repair tech would look at it and contact me. AJ's is like no other shop. The owner is usually working and is so positive, kind and personable. I was there one day when she offered to deliver a bike to someone, and that's just one of several things that caught my attention. Found out they can order any particular bike brand they carry. Went to AJ’s to get fitted and buy a bike today. I wish I knew the sales folks names, but it was a woman with short hair and a young man. Both were super helpful in getting me set up with a good bike. I’ll definitely be returning for supplies and tune ups!
I rented a bike last week while I had some time to ride the area. The gear, the staff and the service was exceptional! When ever I am in the area and have time, I'll go back. I won't rent from anyone else in the area!
It's difficult to find the right bike shop for you. Some are way to big and don't give you that personal touch others to small and don't seem to have enough items on hand to feel like you're choosing the right product. AJ's seems to have found the right line between both extremes. Yes sometimes they are busy and you might have to wait a little to get that personal interaction that most of us want with our bike shop.
