I was referred to Dr Katzman by dentist to have a root canal as he is the only Endodontist in Durham that accepts ODSP. At present I am on CCPD and ODSP as I am recovering from hip surgery. I phoned prior to my appointment to confirm the date and time with his receptionist by the name of Susan. She refused me treatment because I couldn't provide her with photo ID even though I had my ODSP DENTAL ID CARD. If you want to roll the dice with your teeth and health, Dr. Katzman is your guy. This office completely lacks any sense of empathy or understanding towards their patients, with poor chair side etiquette. I've been dealing with issues from a root canal performed by Dr. Katzman for about a year! The first attempt was unsuccessful and still had tooth pain, he apparently "retreated" and still pain, I ended up with an abscess at the tip of the root after months of pain.
