Living on an island, the response time to Seattle is very critical. The other option the ferry boat. This takes at least 35 minutes if you catch the boat as it leaves on schedule. Hopefully we never have to use this means of travel. Even if we don't, it's a nice donation to a well deserved group of service provider.
I worked at HMC when Airlift was founded by Dr. Michael Copass, after a tragic fire in Alaska, and no transport to HMC burn unit. Patients and families who used Airlift were so grateful, always praising the medical staff and the availability of this service. Many lives have been saved.

fight for life in a race against time no matter what the case maybe
I was a member of Airlift Northwest many years. Only reason for leaving, was moving out of their region. when I worked in EMS, they performed Airlift out of Forks and Port Angeles on numerous occasions. Even got airlifted out myself. They are professionals and have helped us out many times. Anyone without airlift insurance is a fool . The cheapest insurance you can get and without it an average bill in the thousands of dollars. Thank you Airlift Northwest.
Shout out to all the crews we worked with last night at Virginia Mason Memorial. It is a pleasure working with such great professionals. Lucky to have you in our community.
