Dietrich was able to squeeze in a buyer of mine for a radon inspection at a house that she was trying to purchase. And he was able to perform the inspection within the time frame of the home inspection contingency period which really helped me out. I found him to be responsive to my texts and he delivered the results in the timeframe that he said he would. I will use him again.
I purchased a home recently that had popcorn ceilings. The popcorn ceilings needed to be tested for asbestos and after researching inspectors that do air quality and asbestos testing, I chose Air Quality, Inc. Mr. Heider did a number of tests after inspecting the house and taking many samples. Every test he performed was vetted by me after discussing the cost. Much like others who have left a review he tried to double the quoted price claiming "raising gas prices" (95 dollar travel fee) and 150 or so dollars for overnight shipping....both of these things are part of the standard service that I was quoted for, but apparently we're not included in the quoted price. He was shown the door and I suggest others do the same until he learns better business practices.
Dietrich was able to complete a radon test for me at short notice, was professional, easy to work with and communicated with me every step of the way!
I am writing this to warn the community—and specifically those with elderly family members—about the deceptive business practices of Air Quality Consultants. What began as a clear, quoted price of $600 for two specific air quality tests quickly spiraled into an unauthorized and exploitative charge of over $2,000.
